Soviet map from ca. 1928 showing the different ecosystems of the Soviet Union. The poster was published by the Moscow-based Geokartprom workshop, which produced maps for the military as well as educational maps and atlases for schools.⁣

This poster shows flora and fauna from every part of the Soviet Union, from the European West to the Far East, listing a total of 236 species as well as including miscellaneous notes such as migration habits or impact on agriculture. The poster was compiled by V.V. Ermakov and drawn by N.M. Buchunov, with explanatory text provided by M.M. Beliaev.⁣
