Freedom 74’ — Irish poster

Irish Republican poster from the Troubles (1974) showing prisoners breaking out of a burning prison while a silhouette of a Republican soldier with an ArmaLite AR-18 looms above the scene. A quote by Irish revolutionary Padraig Pearse, who was executed in 1916 after the Easter Rising, is printed at the bottom: ‘… and we are young. And God has given us strength, courage and counsel. He will give us victory’.
