Éire, West Britain, on which side are you? – Irish poster
Regular price
£9.99
Irish poster from 1913 published by Seachtain na Gaeilge, an organisation established in 1903 to promote the Irish language. To the left of the poster is Éire (Ireland) standing tall and proud and, to the right, sitting on Ireland’s east coast and looking out to Britain, a haggard, sorry-looking “West Brit” (Irish term for anglophiles who care more for Britain than Ireland) covering herself with a Union Flag.
This is a reproduction printed professionally on high-quality matte paper.
